Pie chart labels question

Hi

I have two questions about the labels on pie charts:

1) With labels set to Rim mode, some labels overflow the bounds of the chart and are not fully visible. Is there a property that prevents this?

2) Can the labels be turned off completely?

Thanks

Kevin

Hello Kevin,

Regarding your questions:

1) There is no way to prevent this in Rim mode. The only label mode that fits the pie chart (and its labels) within the panel bounds is SpiderNoOverlap.

2) You can set the following property:

series.DatalabelStyle.Visible = false;

In case there are individual data label styles in the DataLabelStyles data series - you have to either remove them or set the Visible property to false for each one of them.

Thanks. Is there a plan to fix 1) in a future release?

Hello Kevin,

We do have plans to develop another pie label mode that behaves like Rim, but prevents from label overlapping and fits the chart within the panel bounds. Unfortunately, this is not a top priority task, although we have several requests for this functionality. We hope it will be available in the middle of 2012.
