A worker is assigned work in Work Year portions. If a worker is tasked on a project with 0.5 work years then this means that the worker will use half of his workload to accomplish it.

At no time should a worker be assigned more than 1 work year overall; if a work year has 1.25 Work Years assigned then they are over tasked.

Projects have a "Start Date" and an "End Date". I would like to create a Step Line chart that shows the amount of work assigned to a worker at different dates. If a new project starts, then the sum of assigned work years goes up. If an old project ends, then the sum of assigned work years goes down.

I have attached an image that demonstrates what this might look like; I did not create this example chart using Nevron, I just modified a screenshot of a Nevron Chart using MS Paint. I have also attached an image of some sample data; this is not the same data that is used in the image, but it would suffice for the creation of a chart.

As a sidenote, I've gone ahead and used workflow to further analyze the data. I created a workflow that culls all work year portions for all users and provides running sums. When a task is assigned a sum is calculated for the overall work taking place for that user at that point. When that task expires another sum is calculated for the overall work taking place at that point for that user. Each of these sums takes into account the additional and subtraction of work year portions caused by the start and stop of these tasks.

I will be using that data to chart a line plot. Would be nice to know if there was some way to do this without an extra step of data analysis!

I resolved this issue by creating an additional level of analysis via workflow. Unfortunately, it wasn't the solution I was looking for, but I think it would be too difficult / beyond the capabilities of the Nevron SharePoint GUI to reach my desired goal. I'm certain that a coded solution could run the analysis I needed, but it was easier just to process the data one more time and then spit the result into another list.
