Is it possible to clip the display of chart contents to a given polygon?

We have a Cartesian 2D chart containing some line series and a heatmap. Now, we would like to clip the display of the series and the heatmap to a given polygon. 

In the picture below, the cliping polygon is given by the bold black lines (and the x-axis). The series (blue line) and heatmap should be displayed only inside of the polygon. Outside of the polygon, only the usual chart grid lines (on white background) should be visible.

How can we achieve this?
