Good day

Due to shortcomings in SSRS, I am evaluating the possibility of third party addons.

It looks to me like Nevron vision has a module for gauges, and a module for charts.

We have 2 requirements, please inform me if this is possible with Nevron:
1. Display images (user uploaded) on a report with dynamic sizing. I.e. we need to be able to resize the image at runtime in order to compensate for various aspect ratios of the user uploaded images.

2. HTML Tables - we need a way to display HTML tables (using tags) on our reports. This is to allow users to define custom tables for printing on reports.

Please advise me if Nevron might meet our requirements.

Hi Matthys,

Thank you for your interest in Nevron Chart for SSRS.

Regarding your requirements:

1. Display images (user uploaded) on a report with dynamic sizing. I.e. we need to be able to resize the image at runtime in order to compensate for various aspect ratios of the user uploaded images.

You can dynamically resize both the chart and gauge using expressions or through custom C# code. In order to achieve this with an image it has to resize on the server and be applied on a watermark chart / gauge panel which can be created programmatically.

2. HTML Tables - we need a way to display HTML tables (using tags) on our reports. This is to allow users to define custom tables for printing on reports.

The controls do not export HTML tables (all custom report items in SSRS can only export raster images).

Let us know if you have any questions or comments.

Best Regards,

Thank you for responding!

I will refer to your documentation for technical details.
We have in the mean-time discovered a way to work-around SSRS's lack of dynamic image re-sizing during runtime.

We still need a way to display cutomer generated tables/spreadsheets within a report.

Kind Regards!
Chris Ross

Would you be willing to share how you worked around the resizing issues in RS? We're trying to solve the same problem...
