Hello Karl,
You should be able to download the new service pack installation (build version: 15.5.27.12). The service pack has property in the NCartesianChart that disables automatic axis plane switching - DisableAutomaticAxisPlaneSwitching.

Hi Karl,

1. The documentation is shipped along with the product in chm format - you can find from Start menu \ Nevron .NET Vision (version) \ Documentation. On the disk it's located at: "c:\Program Files (x86)\Nevron Software\Nevron .NET Vision (version)\Documentation" or where you installed the product.

2. Currently there is no way to turn off the automatic plane direction (which is based on choosing a decoration plane with maximum visibility indeed), but we have just added that option and it will be present in the next SP of the control.

Thank you for the quick response.  BoundsMode.Node worked as suggested.
I have two other questions I hope have easy answers.

1) I found the documentation at http://helpdotnetvision.nevron.com/.  This is very useful and seems to cover most of the customizations I am looking to make.  Is there an offline version of the help I can download?

2) The major tick marks change from vertical to horizontal as you rotate the graph.  This changes the location of the labels to help them stay visible.  Is there a way to disable this behavior and keep the tick mark orientation horizontal?

Hi Karl,

By default the in fit bounds mode the chart will always try to fill as much as possible from the chart panel content bounds, without breaking outside. If you want to disable this feature simply set the bounds mode to none:
nChartControl1.Charts[0].BoundsMode = Nevron.GraphicsCore.BoundsMode.Node;

Hope this helps - let us know if you have any questions.

We are evaluating Nevron.
Our plan would be to use a Grid Surface Chart with the NTrackballTool so that the user can rotate it.  In our test implementation the behavior is that the chart zooms in and out when rotated (only slightly).  It is zoomed in when looking straight on and zoomed out when looking diagonal.  The behavior seem to be set to allow the chart to consume the available space.

This behavior can be annoying.  How can I allow rotation without the auto zooming?
