I am evaluating Nevron Vison for Sharepoint and trying to create a chart from data stored in an excel file stored in Sharepoint. Deatils are as follows;

Microsoft Server 2008 R2

Sharepoint 2010 Enterprise, with Excel activated on farm and site, same with Nevron. Am site farm/ owner / adminstrator

Nevron Vision appeared to install fine without any problems. Activated Nevron services etc.

Added web part, no problem, tried to link to excel file, using excel services see attached pic. Could not insert using Insert pic.

Kind regards

Greg Diana

Thanks for this.

However localhost and dbnems4 are the same. Sharepoint uses port 80, by default, so one has to deactiveate the default IIS web site (also port 80). Sharepoint may thus be called using either dbnems4 and / or localhost as both refer to the sharepoint root.

Otherwise on server 2008 the default locahost on port 80 refers to the IIS 7 default aspx page, which it is not doing here as the service has been stopped.

I have tried both localhost and dbnems4 in the web part and both give same result. The http link was copied from the excel file stored in the sharepoint directory as indicated. The same link works in IE and in sharepoint for other web parts.

Cheers
